You enthusiastically wake the audience up when the Sergeant-at-Arms introduces you at 7:00 a.m. sharp. You lead members in a brief exercise, e.g., singing, hugging, jumping jacks, stretching, vocal exercises, or cheering. Use your imagination but keep it short and simple. You have two minutes maximum for the exercise and pledge. A drawn-out session will waste time and will eat into time reserved for Table Topics. You can draw inspiration from the meetings’ theme if you like. After the exercise, you lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
